Responsibilities of the Township Treasurer:
- Collects real and personal property taxes
- Keeps an account of township receipts (revenues) and expenditures
- Disburses township checks
- Deposits township revenues in approved depositories
- Invests township funds in approved investment vehicles
- Collects delinquent personal property tax
- Responsible for jeopardy assessments in collecting delinquent personal property tax
- Collects mobile home specific tax
- Must appoint a deputy
- Must post a surety bond

NOTE: Summer 2024 Taxes will be payable starting July 1st. Winter 2024 Taxes will be payable starting December 1st. Please read the “message to taxpayer” on the tax bill for payment information.
1% INTEREST PER MONTH AFTER SEPTEMBER 14, for unpaid Summer Taxes.
3% PENALTY AFTER FEBRUARY 14, (PLUS 1% PER MONTH) for unpaid Summer and Winter Taxes.
DOG LICENSES REQUIRE A SEPARATE CHECK-DO NOT INCLUDE IN TAX PAYMENT.
