This is beneficial to not only the Residents of the Townships we service, but also for the residents of Raisin Charter Twp, in that it provides a constant revenue stream to the building department, allowing us to strengthen our fiscal integrity.

It has always been the goal of Raisin Charter Twp. to be a full-time service oriented government, not only to our residents but those in the surrounding communities, thereby increasing our own capabilities in serving the region. It just simply doesn’t make sense for each community to expend precious tax revenues on individual departments when one community can handle so many of its neighbors.

This regional expansion does not come at a cost of representation for the surrounding communities. The Raisin Twp. Building Department Official, attends all of the local government’s Board of Trustees meetings, and submits reports, and listens to concerns of the residents that wish to express them.

We are proud of the professional, high quality and efficient service that our Building Dept. provides, to the region, and if your community would like to learn more about our services, please feel free to contact us at (517) 423-3162 Ext; 110

  •      The Building Inspector also handles complaints of ordinance violations. In order to investigate he must receive a complaint form, which can be obtained on the forms tab. The completed form can be returned to the office in person, by fax or email.
